"I cannot thank Sophia enough for the early access to this course during the set up stage of our CIC venture. This course has been vital to helping us develop our fundraising plans. The worksheets and templates are the perfect tools to do things correctly and then to have the list of potential funders to approach is more than I could have wished for. This course has saved us time, reduced the mistakes we would have made and is allowing us to approach funders in a more professional and planned manner."

Jason Maskell, Founder, Life Force CIC
"I can't recommend this course highly enough. Sophia is so inspirational, knowledgeable and extremely generous in her time and sharing of materials. As a result of this training, I have been inspired to start my own charity - I can't thank Sophia enough and really hope to continue to work with her in the future."

Cheri, Lincolnshire
"Wonderful course... I highly recommend this course if you are not sure how the funding works and you would like to have step by step guidance on how to write a fundraising application using the most recent research and stats. You would also get some creative ideas in how to build up partnerships with other agencies to develop new funded projects and a supportive group who are happy to share ideas and resources!"

Hasret, London
"This course was extremely useful, providing insightful business advice that helped me to really focus on what I want to achieve in the short and long term. Sophia provided timely support with clear and thorough answers to questions and useable supporting templates and documents."

Claire, Hertfordshire
"Sophia’s knowledge and experience is outstanding, her thoughtfulness and willingness to share information, support and guidance is top class. It's been so helpful in pushing me to think beyond the box of what I thought I'd be doing!"

Who am I?
My name is Sophia Giblin.

I'm the Award Winning Founder of Clear Sky Children's Charity, a Play & Creative Arts Therapy charity for children based in the UK. I set up the charity at the age of 23 with a minimal amount of experience and a big vision for change I wanted to see in the world!

As well as having a Masters in Play Therapy I also have a BA in Business Administration. I combine my business skills with my passion and experience in charity to help heart centred entrepreneurs like you deliver projects that make a difference in the world.
I love supporting people to do MORE for the people and communities they serve.

I've been successfully fundraising for charitable causes for over 10 years now, raising over half a million pounds for charities.

In the Fundraising for Good course we focus on the big pots of money that allow you to run substantial projects and help lots of people and have a big impact.

Frequently Asked Questions

What if I need extra support?
You have access to Fundraising for Good students in our private Facebook community where you'll also be able to ask Sophia questions.

If you need a coaching session once you've started the course it's possible to organise a one to one with Sophia. Just get in touch via the private Facebook group.
Do I need to register as a CIC or charity to benefit from this course?
You don't need to register as either a CIC or a charity if you don't want to. There are benefits to both set ups, but each come with additional responsibilities.

If you don't have plans to run your own CIC or charity you can partner with a local organisation that does have a charitable status and fundraise together. This way you can get funding for a project where you deliver the services but don't have the responsibility of managing the grant. This is entirely possible and often the best use of time and resources!
Is this suitable for me if I don't have a business?
Yes! This is the perfect starting point if you don't yet have a business set up, or if you're a sole trader delivering services. If you do something that benefits people, society or communities this course is perfect for you!

How long will the course take me?
The course can be worked through at your own pace. The modules are broken down into easy to manage chunks. Each module will take up to an hour to watch and around one further hour of research and 'homework'. I recommend working through it in 4 weeks so you can take action immediately!
Can you help with setting up a CIC or charity?
We recommend that you speak with our partners Taylor Vinters law firm if you need specific legal advice about setting up a CIC. They host free virtual pop ups to talk abour your idea!

What if I don't have a project idea?
In the course you'll be guided to think about how to set up a project. This is not something that comes naturally to everyone, and especially when we have been trained to work in just one specific model in our work it can be hard to think outside the box. Use the learning and the Facebook community to try out your new ideas for fundraising!
